Ronald Wanek made his $2.4 billion fortune in furniture. He founded the Arcadia Furniture manufacturing company in 1970, and merged with Ashley Furniture in 1976. The company, which kept the latter name, has earned him $2.4 billion and is currently run by his son Todd who’s also a billionaire.
