Newt Gingrich

Newt Gingrich has been in politics for years, first being elected to Congress in 1979. He served until 1999, and during that period was the House Minority Whip from 1989 to 1995. After that, he served as the 50th Speaker of the House from 1995 to 1999. He later ran for president — unsuccessfully — in 2012. He’s currently a Fox News contributor.
