Theodore Roosevelt

Teddy Roosevelt was the 26th President of the United States, so we’re going in the “wayback machine” for this throwback photo of an illustrious leader. Here’s Roosevelt back when he was a lieutenant colonel in the first U.S. Volunteer Cavalry, and the leader of the regiment nicknamed the “Rough Riders” during the Spanish-American War. That thick mustache was something he wore throughout his entire adult life. He’s considered by many to be one of the greatest U.S. presidents, right up there with Lincoln, Washington, and Jefferson.
