Condoleezza Rice

A powerful woman in politics that some say would make a great female president, Condoleezza Rice was Secretary of State under President George W. Bush. Rice has been a Republican since 1982. After serving in the Bush administration, Rice became a professor at Stanford University. She teaches economics and political science, naturally. When you look at throwback photos of “Condi,” it’s clear that this intelligent young woman is going to make her mark in the world. Her father realized that there was “nothing this little girl couldn’t do.” That turned out to be true, as she became the first female African-American Secretary of State.
