Katoomba Scenic World Railway, New South Wales

If Devil’s Nose and Gelmer had you intimidated, then you probably won’t want to go anywhere near the Katoomba Scenic World Railway in New South Wales. The railway winds through the scenic Blue Mountains at a 128 percent incline, making it the steepest passenger railway in the world. Thanks to a massive renovation in 2013, riders can now adjust their seat positions to even more of an incline while riding through the rainforest in glass-roofed carriages. Unlike most of the other trains on this list, this one is billed as a tourist attraction. To each his own.
