Jersey City, NJ Police Officer George Noutsopoulos

While visiting his son’s elementary school for an awards ceremony, Jersey City police officer George Noutsopoulos heard that a student’s grandmother collapsed in the hallway. Noutsopoulos, who was off duty at the time, rushed to the elderly woman’s side, administered CPR, applied a defibrillator, and was able to help her regain her pulse and start breathing again.
Apparently the officer stopped to tell his son to clean his desk, which allowed him to be in the right place at the right time.
