Clint Eastwood

Clint Eastwood is credited with single-handedly popularizing spaghetti westerns in the ’60s. After that, his movie career branched out to include such critical hits as Million Dollar Baby and Mystic River. This outspoken Libertarian won the 1986 election for mayor of Carmel-By-the-Sea, California. He served two terms.
Later in 2001, he served two terms on the California State Park and Recreation Commission. He continues to advocate for his Libertarian causes to this day. For example, he is one of the most recognizable members of the NRA. Clint Eastwood did not vote in the 2016 presidential election, instead comparing both candidates to “a comedy act from the 1940s.”
