Roseanne Barr

Roseanne Barr rose to stardom thanks to ’80s hit sitcom Roseanne. Since the show’s heyday, she’s had her share of daytime TV shows and, who would’ve guessed it, a political career, too. She campaigned in 2012 for the Green Party nomination, but she was beaten out by Jill Stein. After this setback, Barr successfully ran for the Peace and Freedom Party. For those who have never heard of it, the party advocates banning currency and instituting a nationwide barter system.
She was in the headlines once again in 2018 when Roseanne got a revival. The show was summarily canceled, however, when Barr authored a racist, xenophobic tweet one night. Perhaps it was for the best that she has never been elected.
