Insanely Easy Hot Glue Gun Hacks You’ve Been Missing

Not Quite X-Acto

Scissors not quite cutting it? (Sorry, not sorry.) Don’t have an X-Acto knife or not sure where you put it? Time to do a little craft surgery. If you have one of those little plastic pencil sharpeners (hello, middle school!) and a screwdriver, we’ve got a solution. Use the screwdriver to dis-assemble the pencil sharpener so you can get to the little blade inside.

Once you’ve got the blade, you’re going to glue it onto a wooden depressor using your hot glue gun, making sure to leave a good length hanging off the edge. (You won’t have anything to cut with if you don’t, duh.) Line another depressor up and glue it on top of the blade. You want it all lined up perfectly so that the depressors are your handle, and the blade is exposed enough to actually cut things.
