The Sex Pistols – ‘God Save the Queen’ Single

During the Sex Pistols late 1970s heyday, the band was so controversial that their record company dropped the band and destroyed nearly the entire run of the single “God Save the Queen” instead of being associated with them. Of course, you really can’t blame A&M records, given that the bands’s singer Johnny Rotten threatened the company’s executives, while bassist Sid Vicious destroyed a toilet at A&M headquarters. These days, A&M stamped copies of the single can go for between $8,000 to $10,000, with one going for over $15,000.
