Nicosia International Airport

This airport in Nicosia, Cyprus has been abandoned since the 1970s. It was opened in 1968, but due to the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974, it’s been left to collect dust.
While the airport was once able to serve 800 passengers at a time, it’s now controlled by the United Nations Peacekeeping Force (UNFICYP). All that’s left is the terminal building and a couple of gutted aircraft.
