20 Fascinating Facts About the Creamy World of Dairy Queen

World Records

In the 2000s, Dairy Queen set two world records thanks to some pretty big desserts.

In 2005, a Massachusetts store made it into the Guinness World Records for constructing a Blizzard that weighed in at over 8,260 lbs.

Six years later, a Toronto location made it into Guinness for the largest piece of cheesecake ever made. According to the record book, “The largest ice cream cake weighed 10.13 tonnes (22,333.6 lb) and was achieved by Dairy Queen Canada at Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on 10 May 2011. The cake measured 4.45 m (14 ft 7 in) long, 4.06 m (13 ft 3 in) wide, and 1 m (3 ft 3 in) tall. It included sponge cake, vanilla ice cream, buttercream frosting, and Oreo cookie crumble topping.”
