Shirley Temple Black

This iconic child star’s acting career ended when she grew up. However, Shirley Temple Black parleyed her youthful fame into dance, advocacy, and politics. In 1967, she ran for Congress. Unfortunately, Henry Kissinger grew suspicious of her real motivations and loyalties when he overheard her talking about Namibia, and her election dreams came to an end. However, she served as a delegate for the United Nations General Assembly in 1969. After that, she was appointed as an ambassador to Ghana and later to Czechoslovakia. She died in 2014 at the age of 84 due to natural causes.
