Cure for Baldness?

Hair getting a little thin on top? Back in medieval times, they thought they had figured a cure for baldness. Well, at least one author did. In a book discovered in London dated to 1654, author Peter Levens claimed hair could be regrown by rubbing a mixture of “Culver-dung in Lye,” translated today to mean chicken poop mixed into an alkaline solution of potassium salts.
