    In 2011, rumors about construction at Canada’s Wonderland swirled among Ontario natives and roller coaster junkies. The park launched a mysterious website with a 46-day countdown and reporters’ quotes about a fantastic new thrill ride. In August 2011, Leviathan opened, and riders were not disappointed. Passengers are greeted by a suspenseful, medieval theme featuring illuminated dragons, before plummeting over 300 feet just a minute later. The global stats for Leviathan: seventh longest drop, ninth tallest.
