Kingda Ka

The tallest roller coaster in the world, featuring the biggest drop in the world, can be found in Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey. Kingda Ka stands at 465 feet, and hurls ride-goers down a record-breaking 418 foot drop. The ride is named after a mythical tiger, and rushes passengers through a jungle-themed thrill ride. The coaster suffered damage after a lightning strike in 2009, followed by Hurricane Irene in 2011. However, Kingda Ka has since been repaired and remains the park’s most famous attraction since its construction in 2005.
