Kid-Friendly Costume Jewelry

Have some kids who want to play dress up? Turn it into a full afternoon by adding a DIY component to it. All you need is string, colored glue sticks, and your hot glue gun.
Cut a length of string, yarn, or another fabric and lay it out onto some parchment paper. Draw a design, such as a zig-zag line or dots, using the different hot glue colors, being careful to keep the design on the fabric or string. Once it’s dry, you’ve got a necklace or bracelet. Make sure you leave enough of the string/fabric uncovered to be able to tie the jewelry.
You’ll have to be the judge of whether or not your kid is mature enough to wield the gun themselves (with your intense supervision, of course), or whether you have to execute their creative genius for them.
