Blade Cover

Just because you didn’t buy fancy knives that come with their own protective covers doesn’t mean you shouldn’t protect the blades you have. And more than prolonging the life of your knife (ha!), you’ll be ensuring that your fingers don’t get nicked when you reach into the drawer without paying close attention.
Rub a bit of Vaseline on your knife’s blade, and then proceed to coat the blade with hot glue. Be neat about it; DIY doesn’t have to mean it looks a hot mess. Once the glue dries, it’ll slide right off thanks to the Vaseline. Use your new cover to keep your knife nick-free, or to make it travel-friendly.
When the cover starts to wear out over time, just repeat!
