Abandoned Aircraft: What Happens to Planes When They Retire?

Kenny Scharf was just one of many artists part of the Boneyard Project, an exhibition of disused planes that have been painted. Retired military aircraft were given a second life in Arizona by these artists in 2012. This plane used to be a Lockheed JetStar, a kind of private plane made in the 1970s. Now, it’s a work of art.
